Handwriting Program
Over the course of the school holidays ParkRun Assistant Manager Venâncio "Mandela" Daniel has been volunteering his time to run a Handwriting program at Nganja Park. The program has focused on letter formation, calligraphy style, and basic alphabet revision. Votoka has provided Mandela with financial support for transport to and from the park to his home. Once again, this shows the difference that young, dedicated people can make! Mandela is currently studying nursing, runs a barbershop and provides tutoring and handwriting lessons. He is also a poet and has recently published his first book of poems. We are fortunate to have a young, motivated person like him setting an example of entrepreneurship, literary art, and volunteerism to the community.
